Say it with beers

After purchasing Colab Brewing and moving its operations to Warkworth in 2020, Heidi and Martyn Crockett built an entirely new brewing facility. Specialising in six core beers - US Lager, Kiwi-style Draught, American Pale Ale (APA), XPA (Extra Pale Ale), West Coast IPA, Hazy NEIPA (New England IPA) - with the addition of seasonal flavours to spice up their offering, the couple were looking for something more to set them apart from other great local brewers.

And so the concept for ‘Say it with Beers’ came about. Previously the idea of personalised cans would have involved a large batch of contract brewed beer, which Colab can also do, however the small and nimble nature of the business allows Colab Brewing greater flexibility; making it possible to run off a batch of beer with customised artwork displayed on the can.

Colab’s innovative solution gives individuals and businesses alike the opportunity to customise beer cans with logos, messages, or any desired image. And size doesn’t matter, with a minimum order of one dozen of any single beer style. Whether you opt for a mixed pack of up to six different beers or choose to focus on just a couple of varieties, the process remains seamless - choose the beer, design the label, Colab will print it and roll it on.

Crafting personalised labels is facilitated via the ‘Say it with Beers’ website, with the ability to upload images and graphics from both mobile devices and computers, and easily add personalised text. Upon completion, within ten working days of placing an order, the beers are neatly packaged in two six- pack boxes, ideal for sharing with friends, colleagues, or event attendees, and shipped New Zealand wide, with the exception of Waiheke Island.
