First meeting when Wendy was working as Advertising Executive for Junction Magazine and Brett reached out to advertise his Create Matakana gallery/co-working space, the pair were always going to have a unique wedding. Having collaborated with Brooke Tyson for years she was the obvious choice to make Wendy’s custom dress, which was never going to be traditional white. Brooke also lent her expertise to Brett's Japanese Kimono inspired ensemble while the groom teamed up with his father, local Matakana jeweller John Crockett, to design his exquisite
