Tickets to Bryan Adams’ summer tour of New Zealand have been snapped up, with the Matakana concert selling out fast. Other venues are looking likely to do the same, as the countdown to one of summer’s hottest tours gets under way.
Adams is bringing his GET UP world tour to four of the country’s most iconic and picturesque outdoor venues – Matakana Country Park, the TSB Bowl of Brooklands in New Plymouth, ASB Baypark Stadium in Mount Maunganui and Black Barn in Hawkes Bay. He will be supported by Kiwi icons Dave Dobbyn and The Jordan Luck Band.
The Canadian legend – whose hits include ‘Summer of 69’, ‘Run To You’ and ‘(Everything I Do) I Do It For You’ – was last in New Zealand in 2013 with his Bare Bones Tour, but this will be the first time since 2003 that he will bring his full live band!
The tour kicks off in Matakana on January 2 and with Matakana Country Park only being a 45-minute drive north of Auckland, concert-goers are reminded that it’s possible to get there and back on the night. For those wanting a night off driving, buses from will be travelling from Auckland to Matakana and back. Tickets will be available to purchase tickets in the coming weeks from www.neptuneentertainment.co.nz
Special measures are being taken to ensure crowd management runs smoothly. A major international events management company has been brought in to help with traffic issues around the venue, putting together an upgraded traffic and crowd management strategy. Buses will run on a rotating schedule to deliver concert-goers to and from the concert.
All venues are disability friendly with extra effort placed on access and disability parking.
